Born to a pair of Doman Revolutionaries, Natalia had a strange upbringing where most of her life was an uncertainty. When she was 16, she got into a yelling match with her family due to the political situation, planning to become a merchant and escape the fighting and struggle and toil of a daily life in Yanxia - taking her father's stolen gunblade with her and escaping by stowing away on the ships of the Confederacy and finally bolting to Kugane.
Through more clever hiding, Natalia was able to smuggle herself onto a ship to Eorzea, finding a place to belong in the shifty, shady sands of Ul'dah, having found her calling as a merchant of oddities and antiquities, often utilizing these very things along with her pull-cart to avoid the attention of the authorities and criminals alike.
Her mentor was one who dealed in the arcane, and much like her mentor, Natalia decided to go into a similar avenue of work - however, that which she pedaled was different - dealing primarily with cursed and looted items taken from their rightful homes. She works mainly as a curse-breaker, though the way she does such is by trying to understand the root cause of the curse and heal the wound inflicted to it - before selling it to a wealthy merchant once the curse was removed.
