HAIR : Wine-red with brighter red highlight, wild and sometimes unkempt, often falling loosely around her face. Longer strands often hide parts of her features, especially her damaged right eye.EYES : Fiery red, glowing with intensity. Her right eye has been severely damaged but it’s only noticeable by a darker hue and she often wears an eyepatch or allows her hair to obscure it.HEIGHT : 147Cm (4'10") – Petite, which often makes her appear even more dangerous in combat due to her speed and agility.BUILD : Lean and compact, built for speed rather than raw strength. Her agility and quick reflexes make her a deadly opponent despite her small size.EARS : Typical of a Seeker of the Sun, pointed and sleek.MANNER OF DRESS : Belzy’s wardrobe is a blend of sophistication and practicality, tailored to highlight her charms while maintaining ease of movement for combat. She prefers elegant, often provocative attire, but without crossing into vulgarity. Most of her outfits are in dark tones, with black and wine red or brighter red hues being the dominant colors. Her clothing often features luxurious fabrics like silk and velvet, offering a refined, almost regal appearance. While her attire is designed to accentuate her form, it is still practical enough to allow her agility in battle, though it offers little in terms of heavy protection.
A thick scar runs through her scalp, hidden beneath her wild hair, the result of blunt force trauma that caused amnesia.Several scars dot her entire body, each telling a story of violence, survival, and rebellion. Her right eye is significantly damaged, causing it to appear much darker than her left. The damage is internal, so there is no visible scar, but the eye continues to darken with the passing years. She often conceals it beneath her hair or an eyepatch to hide the unsettling difference in appearance that might give away her handicap.
Her tail is unique—far longer, thicker, and stronger than a typical Miqo'te’s and more Hrothgar like with stripes, giving her a distinct edge in both combat and balance.A small jewel rests on her forehead, hidden beneath her hair, though it holds mysterious significance from her past.
Belzy is a volatile mix of manic energy and cold calculation. She thrives in chaos and violence, deriving a twisted joy from conflict. Her charm and deceptive appearance often lure enemies into a false sense of security before she strikes. She’s quick to turn on anyone who betrays her or challenges her authority, but those who earn her trust will find her fiercely loyal. While Belzy often appears detached or unbothered, underneath that cold exterior is a woman with deep emotional scars, a product of her violent past. Her hatred for Hyur runs deep, especially because of the unconscious association with Garleans, and this makes her unpredictable and highly dangerous. Her past trauma, particularly when it comes to marks or jewels on a forehead, can trigger memories that leave her disoriented and prone to violent outbursts. Despite her fiercely independent nature, Belzy holds a twisted, protective love for those she considers hers, especially people she gets attached to.extroverted / in between / introverteddisorganized / in between / organizedintolerant / in between / tolerantcalm / in between / anxiousdisagreeable / in between / agreeablecautious / in between / recklesspatient / in between / impatientoutspoken / in between / reservedleader / in between / followerempathetic / in between / apatheticoptimistic / in between / pessimistictraditional / in between / modernhard-working / in between / lazyeducated / in between / uneducatedloyal / in between / disloyalspiritual / in between / secular
COMBAT STYLE : Belzy is a highly skilled assassin, blending agility, speed, and precision with a deadly understanding of various combat techniques. Her movements are graceful yet lethal, taking full advantage of stealth and quick strikes to incapacitate her enemies before they even realize she’s there. As a former experiment, she has an ingrained knowledge of numerous combat styles, although she cannot recall the origins of her training. She relies on her focus and rapier, Migi, for most of her combat, which channels magitek-infused magic to boost her attacks and provide her with magical abilities. While she’s proficient in the use of blades and stealth tactics, her reliance on Migi’s technology means she is not a traditional magic user and is limited in her use of aether without it.AETHERIC MANIPULATION : Though Belzy is capable of wielding aether in theory, she has no personal control over it. Instead, she relies on Migi, her loyal focus/rapier, which is integrated with magitek technology to channel her magic for her. This allows her to use red mage abilities and defensive spells but only as long as her focus is in hand. Without Migi, Belzy is unable to manipulate aether herself and must rely on her physical combat prowess and cunning. This dependency on magitek makes her more vulnerable if separated from her weapon.FRENZIED STATE : When she enters a frenzy —triggered by extreme stress, anger, or danger— her stats temporarily increase as a result of her experimental training. Belzy’s emotional instability and latent combat training kick in, enhancing her physical and mental attributes. This boost is short-lived, lasting only for as long as she remains in a heightened state of aggression, but during this period, her speed, strength, and perception are significantly improved. However, her judgment and control are often clouded in this state, leading to reckless or unpredictable actions.ARMOR : Belzy’s armor is not focused on heavy protection but rather on mobility and appearance. Her wardrobe is a mix of sophisticated, form-fitting clothing and light armor that allows for freedom of movement while still providing some defense. Her combat attire is often in black, wine red, or crimson tones, crafted from fine materials such as velvet and silk, tailored to fit her agile frame. The armor is light but reinforced with specific parts to protect her vital areas, especially around her torso and upper arms. Despite the style, it is clear she values the practicality of her outfit in battle.WEAPONRY : Belzy’s primary weapon is Migi, a rapier infused with magitek technology that allows her to channel magical attacks, notably red mage spells. Migi is lightweight, designed for both precise strikes and spellcasting. She is adept at using the rapier in close combat, relying on its speed and magical enhancements. She also carries hidden daggers and throwing knives as secondary weapons, enabling her to strike from a distance when necessary. Her combat style is fluid and fast, shifting from graceful swordplay to quick magical assaults, all while remaining out of her opponent’s reach.
Belzy was not born with a name. Her origins trace back to the HRM project, a twisted series of experiments carried out by the Garlean Empire. In their delusional bid to create a race of super-soldiers, they sought to “improve” the native races of Eorzea, particularly the Miqo'te, by infusing them with the genetic traits of the Hrothgar.Belzy was the eighth subject of the Type B procedure, the HRM-8B, created to be a hybrid weapon of war. She was subjected to cruel genetic manipulation, enhancing her feline instincts and physical abilities, but this came at the cost of her mind. Her memories were warped, erased, and replaced with the sole purpose of making her a lethal soldier.
Raised in a sterile, controlled Garlean facility, Belzy was stripped of any notion of family, love, or identity. The Garleans saw her as little more than a living weapon—an experiment to be refined. Her body was transformed: stronger, faster, and more deadly, while her psyche was left fractured and broken. Her memories were constantly manipulated, and her emotions stifled by the cold, unfeeling hands of her captors. To further ensure her obedience, the Garleans implanted a device within her mind—a control implant—designed to force her into submission, overriding her will when they needed to. This was their answer to her mental resilience, which had previously thwarted their attempts at breaking her completely. The implant ensured she would obey direct orders, and for a time, it worked flawlessly.
Her escape came during a revolt within the Garlean facility—an uprising led by rebels who had been imprisoned and outsiders. Although Belzy wasn’t part of the revolt, in the chaos of the battle, she saw an opportunity to break free. She seized it with desperate ferocity, escaping the confines of the lab where she had been a mere experiment. But during her flight, she was struck in the head by a falling object, and her escape was marred by amnesia. When she awoke, she found herself with no memories of her past life, only flashes of pain and confusion. Her escape did not go without cost. The blow to her head had caused severe memory loss, leaving her with no recollection of her origins, her code, or the experiments she had undergone. All she knew was that she was no longer HRM-8B—she was simply lost. The blow also caused some dysfunction to the implant, leaving her able to occasionally resist the compulsions it imposed. The authority of those who gave commands, and her mental state, now dictated how well the implant controlled her.
Barely conscious and wandering the wilderness, Belzy was found by a Hrothgar warrior named ThanERos. ThanEros had been part of the rebellion, but he was a solitary figure, hardened by years of battle. He found her in the aftermath of the uprising, injured and half-dead. Despite her savage, unpredictable behavior, ThanEros took pity on her. He saw potential in her, a lost soul desperate for a purpose. ThanEros did not just save her life—he took her in and became her caretaker. Recognizing the danger she presented to herself and to him, he gave her the name “Belzy” as a way to detach her from her past.He nurtured her back to health, though his methods were often harsh. He had to restrain her during her violent frenzies—times when her fractured mind would send her into uncontrollable rage. On more than one occasion, ThanEros had to physically bind her, tying her up to keep her from harming herself or others. Despite the emotional and psychological scars she carried, ThanEros worked tirelessly to bring her back to a semblance of normalcy. But the task was overwhelming. Her memory loss was severe, and there was always the nagging uncertainty in her mind—had ThanEros simply abandoned her when he could no longer handle her, or had she inadvertently killed him during one of her rampages? These unanswered questions haunted her.
After her recovery under ThanEros’s care, Belzy was left with an enduring sense of confusion. The traumatic experiences from the Garlean facility remained buried deep within her mind, and the uncertainty about her past with ThanEros—whether he had abandoned her or been killed—keeps her in a constant state of emotional instability. Now, Belzy travels as a mercenary, offering her services as a lethal weapon. She is a walking storm of rage, her memories still fragmented, and her psyche fragile. She remains mistrustful of others, often seeing betrayal where there may be none, particularly from those who remind her of the Hyur (whom she unconsciously associates with the Garleans). Her past has left her emotionally broken, and her fractured memories only fuel her internal chaos. Despite all her rage and violence, there are quiet moments where she longs for connection. But Belzy fears herself too much to let anyone close.
Belzy’s goals are not rooted in vengeance or seeking any form of redemption. She is not interested in uncovering the past or trying to right the wrongs done to her. Instead, her focus is on living her life on her own terms, embracing her nature as a lethal force of chaos and destruction. She enjoys the bloodlust and violence that come naturally to her, often seeking out opportunities for mischief and battle simply because they give her a sense of excitement and satisfaction. She is at peace with who she is—a product of brutality and manipulation—and has no desire to change. She revels in the chaos she creates, whether it’s through combat or sowing discord among those around her. To Belzy, violence is not a burden but a thrill, and it’s something she feeds on. The world is a playground for her, and she’s determined to live it out without remorse or hesitation.
The future holds little more than what the present offers for Belzy—more violence, more chaos, and more opportunities to indulge in her darkest urges. She doesn’t seek peace or redemption, and she certainly doesn’t care about the opinions of others. As long as she can continue living the way she desires, with no one trying to rein her in, she’s content.Whether she creates an empire of destruction or simply goes on wandering the land, she will do it on her terms. There’s no grand plan, no hidden goal beyond just enjoying herself. Her journey is not about self-improvement or finding a better way to live—it’s about continuing to exist exactly as she is. And if that leads to more carnage and bloodshed, so be it. Her path is one of pure hedonistic enjoyment, where her chaotic nature thrives.
