Insight:
Lawrentius, or commonly known as ‘Law’ by the close ones, his expression may look displeased most of the time, but he is actually quite an amiable person once you get to know him. He is an assiduous researcher at work and a supportive fiancé at home. He carries a slight flower scent as he walks, his attire is mainly vintage or far eastern, and whoever has aethersight will notice a heavy amount of white aura around his body. The jewellery around his horns will make clinky noises as he moves. Sometimes, it is possible to spot a soft smile on his face when he feels delighted.
He may be spotted easily in The Studium with some protégés around him, his lab office, a local coffeehouse at night after his day shift, a lounge where his beloved one works in, or even a Far Eastern themed bathhouse. If he has to travel out of The Studium for his research, he will mostly be alone in his journey as it is rare for him to take a gleaner with him. Albeit, he will not mind a company or two, and gladly shares his findings if you wish to be his listener throughout the exploration. Either way, the martial art training in his youth has strengthened him well, and thus he does not require too much protection from anyone.
However, he has been hiding about his true self. After several successful aether researches, his overly ambitious attitude has caused him to have an untreatable disease where no methods can fully cure him. In an experiment where he wants to develop a stone golem with the White Magic knowledge he has learned from a mage in Twelveswood, he has suffered from the excessive amount of aether entering his body, mutating him where he seeks aether from others to feed on his hunger. His appearance has not changed much, but the bright glowy eye, rather sharp fangs and white yet translucent veins on his neck is a huge giveaway of his transformation. The mutation has also increased his strength, and yet with the right amount of aether from black magic is able to get him regained his consciousness. Nonetheless, his ex-husband, a dark arts practitioner, has been a factor of keeping him controlled.
As for now, the needs for satisfying his hunger may have turned lower, but Law has been secretly feeding himself with aether by taking a bounty through illicit means, even from the guards as well. Despite the guilty lives he has taken, Law feels morally wrong and yet this is the only way from getting his other self from going berserk. And yet, he begins to accept his true self—persuaded not by force, but by the quiet conviction of someone who matters to him the most.
Something worth mentioning: There is a mark on the neck, carved into him by the one Law gives his heart to. He wears it without shame, and no thought of erasing it.
