Background

The story of the character's origins

Willow's own origin is unknown to her. The first thing she remembered was waking up in the aftermath of the Seventh Umbral Calamity on Carteneau Flats. She was tired, injured, and had no recollection of what brought her there or the destruction she saw. The only hint she had of her past was a partially burnt dog tag that had some identification on it. She could only make out her last name and the first initial of her first name. Deciding that would be enough to go on, she left the hellscape around her and went to Eorzea.

After settling herself and discovering her talent with weapons and firearms, Willow decided that she would work as a mercenary traveling all across Eorzea. She worked for all 3 city states with in their battles against the Garleans and beast tribes. She slowly realized that her instincts were drilled into her brain and that allowed her to take on more difficult jobs that she thought possible. Eventually her confidence grew, and her nickname “The Rook” became known across many legitimate and criminal organizations for her efficiency, professionalism, and work ethic.

Eventually, she left Eorzea to expand her capabilities working in other countries. She became well traveled and created many professional connections with engineers, mercenaries, merchants, and public officials that allowed her the resources to obtain better weapons, gear, and other resources. She eventually became an expert in gunsmithing and created her own custom weapons that added to her reputation.
