"I will not tremble."
| PROUD | DETERMINED | RUTHLESS |
Born and raised on the Steppes as a member of an offshoot of the Dazkar, this Xaela is experiencing much of the world for the first time. Faced with challenges of a great variety, she takes them in stride, stubborn and proud, and eager to prove herself.
Appearance
Her frame is toned, but elegant, built for agility without lacking in feminine curves. Her sun-kissed skin is decorated with dark scales, Hingan ink, and a collection of scars of varying degrees. Long pale tresses fall in waves, typically over one shoulder. Her eyes are a pale red, limned in magenta limbal rings which give her an intense gaze, particularly when emotions are running high.
Though her attire varies, Mesta is fond of clothing that shows off her skin. She tends to wear darker colors, with the occasional accents in dark red, blue, or rose. Whatever armor she wears is custom-made, but with high quality. Her weapon of choice is a bow, though she also favors the rapier. Any weapons she uses have slots into which aether crystals fit, etchings carved into them to imbue said weapon with power.
She carries herself with an air of languid grace, the effortless and confident air of a huntress. Mesta is attentive of her surroundings, and has a tendency to react instinctively, particularly to threats. It is not uncommon for her to snarl and flash her fangs in a feral display when things get particularly heated.
First Glance
Though she has the stature typical of her diminutive gender, the Auri woman seems to command whatever space she is present in. Her gaze is rarely still, taking stock of her surroundings, not shy about making eye contact - she likes to know who might be watching her. While her posture might otherwise indicate a relaxed state, there is an air of readiness about the huntress that leaves little doubt. A predator on the alert.
You have dared to make eye contact. She has seen you, is aware of you, is taking measure of your person from head to toe. It is an appraisal, one completed either with a shifting of attention as she disregards you or a subtle lifting of her chin - an unspoken challenge to a person who might be a good match in a fight. Arrogance is met with derision, whereas confidence is met with her own. Meekness garners little more than a cursory interest, though a person in obvious distress will quickly gain her attention.
