Background

The story of the character's origins

Shivne is more akin to dragon in humanoid form than she is to the Au'ra she closely resembles. Found at a young age, she was adopted into the Ishiku clan of the Azim Steppe, and raised almost as one of their own. Though not bound to helhounds like others of her adopted family, she maintains an aetheric presence akin to true dragons including their natural protections against magic and void corruption.

When she was but nine years of age, there was a raid on the Ishiku clan in which most of her adopted siblings had been stolen away leaving only her and her eldest brothers behind of all the children.

For her coming of age, Shivne left the family on pilgrimage to explore the world and its various magics, despite her martial proficiency with lance and chakram, in a desire to learn something to teach those that may be gifted in such arts back home. She has spent much time in her past three years drifting between magical arts and their studies while refusing to neglect her own martial practice.

She left Eorzea for about a year, having returned home to complete her pilgrimage and had begun training of her martial skills, developing her own applications for magick while in fairly close proximity with her lance. Now returned to Eorzea, she seeks out some of the threats that lurk in the shadows.
