Erah'sae is one of first three of the Zhwans that broke from their family tradition of isolation to enter the rest of Eorzea. The details of what made them leave aren’t common knowledge. Some family spat involving his sisters, perhaps?
What is known is all three showed an acute sense of curiosity in exploring the world they were previously sheltered from, while trying to learn to survive. His eldest sister strove to great heights as Thaumaturge of some note. His other sister Nefzen led a sparring circle in Limsa while seeking employment with the Dutiful Sisters. Erah'sae, however, would continue to disappoint his other kin by simply becoming a courier.
"Look up at the stars and not down at your feet. Try to make sense of what you see and wonder about what makes the universe exist. Be curious." (( ~ Stephen Hawking ))
This quote, once overheard by one of the more wizened individuals at the Observatorium served as motivation for most of Erah'sae's decisions in life. He is a wanderer and an explorer at heart. Not only yearning to see what is over the next hill, but to understand it.
He is known for taking the most obscure of courier jobs. They make excellent excuses to travel far and wide through Eorzea and beyond. The Keeper never travels by Aetherite and rarely by airship. It is a matter of pride to him that he follows the least worn paths and spends more nights under the branches than under a roof.
Of his sisters, Sana and Nefzen, they have not been seen in the public eye every since the dragonsong war came to a close. Erah'sae, however, lingers on.
Since that time Erah'sae has managed to turn up in all manner of unlikely places. Often times the ever-optimistic cat can be found behind the bars, or on a stage. His oldest friend Eurus, an exceptionally headstrong beast of a draught chocobo, is never too far behind.
