A member of the Xaela race, Sarantuya grew up a free spirit under the Dotharl Tribe. Violence and death were second nature to them. Due to the nature of their clan and tribe they never learned how to truly connect with anyone, secretly yearning to understand meaningful connections.
A nomadic tribe, they knew many locations but no true home. Living for battle, Sarantuya never even heard their own name until the age of 10. Bred to be a warrior they never thought about anything other than battle, raise amongst men and women alike did allow them a certain freedom to blend in with both genders because at the end of the day war was all that truly mattered. They always saw themselves as Sarantuya.
From an early age, they felt hatred for the harshness of war, swords and axes clashing, the feeling of cutting through flesh. But when they were on the battlefield seeing the mages perform magic with bright colors clashing it made death seem so much more peaceful. They were in awe. However, they were afraid of what the tribe might think of them. Amongst their peers might and strength was all that mattered and that meant steel. So, at the age of 18 they faked their death on the battlefield, adopting the last name Khaa and joined the Khas to learn more about the world, other cultures and people in hopes to learn more about magic.
However, in order to fake their own death they did something, something that prevents them for returning to steppe and if their clan was to discover their betrayal. After spending some time with the Kha and feeling like their safety was at jeopardy they headed for Ishgard, far away from the steppe, where they became a Red Mage. Helping out in Ishgardian conflicts they built a small reputation as the Au Ra of the Snow.
(still updating)
They liked masculine things and feminine things, comforting and soft things like fine pillows and bed sheets, soothing music and scents, beautiful colors and hues. They love fashion and cooking. At war they would cook for the entire clan which is one of the few times they enjoyed themselves on the battlefield.
