The story of the character's origins

WIP; I'll get to it eventually.

WIP Outline:

Born in Ul'dah to a poor family, lived her early years as an urchin; Learned to fight via street brawls.

Forced her way into training at the Pugilist's Guild when she was 17, learning more advanced techniques than she learned on the street.

Began fighting as a gladiator in the Ul'dah Coliseum at 19. At this point she began fighting with dual swords, rather than her fists.

Became a monster hunter, trained by her mentor Allene Walker, at 22.

At her current age of 24, she continues to hunt monsters - Now solo as her mentor has been forced into early retirement.

Notes:

Vivian is only barely literate. She can manage easy words and short sentences, but difficult words, or those longer than two syllables, give her pause at best, though more often cause her to entirely give up on reading.

A chain smoker, Vivian perpetually smells rather strongly of fogweed. Frequently, she's seen with a cigarette either between her fingers or in her mouth.

When she smiles, as she often does, the gap between her two front teeth is fairly obvious - this is a girl who grew up on the streets, and while she's fairly cleaned up, there are some things remaining as a reminder of that fact.
