He dresses for ease of movement, his style having been described as "sporty." He prefers earth tones and outfits that call back to his love of nature.
personality
Believing the best of people, Emil would frequently be described as naïve to those he encounters. He has a massive amount of empathy and care for others, and insists on doing the right thing even when it's an active detriment to his wellbeing. He longs to be a hero of fantasy, one who jumps headfirst into danger and saves the day. Emil spent a lot of time alone with only himself for company and as a result can be socially awkward at times, albeit still enthusiastic.
background
Emil took on the role typical of male Viera in his tribe when he came of age. He spent a long time isolated at the fringes of his society, but it never broke his spirit. He passed the time by reenacting stories he had heard as a child, with himself playing the role of hero. When his heart began to long for more than a lonely life, he made his way further east to make a name for himself as an adventurer.
Spending two decades in Doma, Emil did his best to help out where he could during the Garlean occupation. It was during the tail-end of the occupation that Emil became acquainted with, and then ultimately adopted by a modest Doman family. They were from a small village that had been the test subjects of various Garlean experiments, and as a result their community had been slowly withering away from a mysterious illness. Emil's adopted brother, Shota, lost both his parents from the experimentation and all that remained of his family was himself, Emil, and his grandfather.
Shota himself was stricken ill much like the rest of his community. As his brother's condition worsens, Emil's major goal is to find a cure. It was with this in mind that Emil signed on to be the bodyguard of a stoic, Sharlayan scholar by the name of Orion. After a few adventures together, Orion agreed to help Emil with his goals if he returned to Sharlayan with them. This is where Emil meets the mysterious gleaner, Darcy, who ruined Orion's career, but claims she is able to also aid in Emil's quest. For the time being, he finds himself over his head in the world of Sharlayan politics: rivalry, formalities, and conspiracy.
