Caraway is witty and kind but she doesn't care all that much about local laws unless they make sense to her and while she's good at making a plan she would much rather follow someone else than take the lead herself. She likes to wander and talk to people and find out what their goals are (immediate and long term) and bring up stories that these strangers remind her of, either to encourage them on their path or warn them against it. She doesn't have the strongest will or sense of self and doesn't really think that the kind of bombastic actions to be a hero are for her but she loves to help others achieve heroism and will always do her best to play a supporting role in their story.
That being said she is mostly in it to add the story to her collection, which means she doesn't always care about peoples' intentions being noble so much as interesting and at least hopefully not leading to any permanent injuries or deaths, though a story is little without risk. She'd be as willing to help a thief break into a pirate captain's quarters to steal his long johns and hoist them as a flag as help a knight infiltrate the tower of a wicked sorcerer. Ultimately she's a vagabond with no home and very few friendships that last more than a few years, and while she'd love to leave a positive impact on the world and everyone she meets she struggles to care about doing things for her own benefit, even when she really should.
