Shara was a proud Huntress who had left her tribe to hone her skills among the Archer's Guild in Gridania. She was something of a rising star among their number and there were many who had high hopes for her future as an archer and an adventurer. She had inspired a small squad of friends to follow her into battle. She boldly lead them on the field during the battle that resulted in the events of the Cataclysm.
It was… traumatic to say the least. One by one her friends all died around her. The conjurer in the party delayed the inevitable, but once he fell, the rest soon followed in the wake of destruction from Bahamut's release. She prayed to the gods to save her friends, but they did not answer. Shara alone was the only one who walked away from the battle.
Even after she recovered, she could never bring herself to draw her bow again. Every time her fingers close around its grip, she was assailed with the memories of that awful event and the faces of her dead friends. She quietly retired from adventuring. For a while, she stumbled through life relying on her savings. She wasn't the only one, she noticed many others who were there also present that day had the same stagnation in their lives.
Shara resolved to create something to help the survivors and future adventurers cope with the stress of adventuring. She took the old house that had belonged to her party and the rest of her savings and renovated it into a cozy inn. A haven where adventurers could rest and relax with a kind warm atmosphere. In pursuit of this project, Shara found her life had purpose once more. The Quiver's Rest Inn became her own lifeline as well as one for others.
As one final tribute to the past, Shara also committed herself to the path of the Conjurer. Never wanting to be unable to save a comrade in peril again.
