Once no different from the common macaques that thrive in the dense jungles of Doma, living for decades beyond her mortal lifespan crowned one of these creatures an auspice: an animal bestowed with human tongue and great magical powers. Taking the name of Kib and the form of a hyur, she has spent the decades since her awakening undistrubed deep in the wilderness, cultivating the potential of her new abilities.
Or at least, that was her plan. But when the iron feet of Garlemald descended upon her lands, tresspassers in her domain, Kib appointed herself as a kami-blessed guardian of Yanxia and leader of a one-monkey guerrilla war against the occupying forces.
Meeting the Warriors of Light
When the day came that the rebels from across the sea passed through her lands, a garlean leading the pack and one armed heavy with magitek, it's little surprise Kib would think them servants of the XIIth Legion. U5, Alisaie, Lyse and Yugiri fell prey to her ambush, her beastkin swarming by the dozens as she lept into the fray herself with furious staff and fist. It was only when Samson, a Doman by blood and scholar by trade, recognised the auspice from legend that the two parties made sense of their standings and were able to lay down arms.
Months later, when forces rallied to retake Doma Castle from the iron grasp of the Witch, hasty reports speak of a shadow that flashed across the battlefield, soldiers and siege weapons alike felled by a powerful fist…
